We are very grateful to have found Roman and Rarmin from The Messy Bartender for our wedding. Sifting through bartending options on the Knot seemed overwhelming, but Roman's business truly stood out from the crowd. His communication through the quote process was amazing and he was very helpful in deciding what signature cocktails we should do and even help me coordinate and name them appropriately after our pets. :) On the big day, Rarmin stepped in somewhat last minute to be our bartender, but Roman and team were amazing at communication that eased any stress that we could have felt. He arrived on time and prepared to set up, needing very little support from our coordinator or the venue. We received endless compliments on Rarmin's service during our event - 60 guests and 1 bartender is no small feet! But he handled it with grace and friendliness, and kept the line moving quickly. Everyone had a truly great time and the drinks were of an amazing quality and picture perfect. I would higher The Messy Bartender again in a heartbeat.

I met Rarmin on an event called Happiest Ours. He is a special mixologist who can elevate your vodka drink to the divine level. Of course, good vodka is a must l. Neft is my next fav. But you need his touch and creativity to make your drink an experience.

After reading many good reviews and booking The Messy Bartender for our wedding, we were extremely unsatisfied with the level of service and lack of communication we received from the owner.

It sucks that our intimate wedding with about 25 guests wasn’t taken as seriously as a wedding with a normal guest count. We were the ones that had to initiate the conversations in preparation for our big day. We also wish we had more guidance along the way for picking our signature drinks, the lists of ingredients we had to purchase, and exactly what was being provided by The Messy Bartender.

There was a lot of miscommunication and details that were left out on his end. For example, he did not provide ice, he did not provide glassware/cups, he did not provide an ice chest big enough to chill a large amount of beer, there was no decor like he shows in photos, he did not provide an easy to follow shopping list, he did not give us a accurate amount of liquor and mixers to purchase, and provided it 3 days before the wedding. Last but not least he wasn’t even the bartender that came that day. He failed to mention that someone else was going to work our wedding and we only found out because we called for an updated eta 30 minutes before our official start time to the wedding.

However, Tiffany the bartender who came that day, exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of as well as our guests. Her attention to detail and communication was perfect. Our guests spoke so highly of the service she gave as well as our other vendors. Tiffany saved the day for sure.

Hopefully this was a fluke, but considering he failed to check in with us after our reception had concluded, it makes us feel like he did not care how it went. There’s a lot more to hiring the best bartender/bartending company for your wedding than just the drinks. Make sure you hire someone who communicates effectively, who is as helpful as possible, and is genuinely excited for your day.
